Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 9, 2026
LegacyLens ("we", "us") helps independent insurance agencies gather and organize client information. This policy explains what we collect, how it's used, and the controls you have. This is a starting draft — the Agency that provided your access should finalize it with counsel before launch.
Information we collect
- Account information — name, email, phone, and password credentials.
- Household information — spouse and dependents, employment, addresses.
- Financial information — assets, debts, income, goals.
- Insurance information — existing policies, beneficiaries, and coverage details.
- Health information — conditions, medications, hospitalizations, family history, mobility, high-risk activities, and travel — used to inform insurance recommendations.
- Usage information — pages viewed, actions taken, device and browser metadata.
How we use it
- To let your agent understand your situation and prepare for meetings.
- To generate directional coverage recommendations and printable summaries.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Who sees your information
Your information is visible to (a) you, (b) the Agency that invited you, (c) the licensed agent(s) assigned to you at that Agency, and (d) LegacyLens staff strictly for operating and supporting the Service. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.
Your Agency may use a customer relationship management ("CRM") tool such as GoHighLevel to schedule follow-ups and manage communications with you. When that integration is enabled, your contact information and a short summary of your submissions are sent to that CRM under the Agency's account.
Where your information lives
Data is stored in encrypted databases hosted in the United States. Access is limited to authenticated users with role-based permissions.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your checklist, we remove your household, financial, insurance, and health records from our systems immediately. Audit logs and account records may be retained for a limited period to meet legal and security obligations.
Your choices
- You can view, correct, or download your information at any time from your portal.
- You can delete your checklist from your portal.
- You can ask your Agency to remove your account entirely.
- Residents of certain states (including California) have additional rights — contact your Agency to exercise them.
Cookies and analytics
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. If the Agency enables usage analytics, it is scoped to product usage patterns and does not include the contents of your checklist.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS in transit, encryption at rest, principle-of-least- privilege access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; you should choose a strong password and keep it private.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18.
Contact
Reach out to the Agency that invited you — their contact information is in your portal. For questions specific to LegacyLens, your Agency can escalate on your behalf.
